A Night Gone Wrong
In the early hours of yesterday, a 19-year-old British national tragically lost his life after suffering from a cardiac arrest at a nightclub in Ibiza. The distressing incident was reported by the emergency healthcare service, 061, through an official statement. The distress call was received at the emergency center at 4:50 a.m.
Race Against Time
Upon receiving the distress call, the nightclub’s medical staff, located on the Sant Antoni highway, promptly attended to the young man. They immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while awaiting the arrival of the emergency teams, as confirmed by sources from the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU).
A Glimmer of Hope
Thanks to the efforts of the medical professionals, the young man’s pulse was restored, and he was rushed to Can Misses Hospital, having been successfully stabilized. The nightclub had been visited by both a basic life support ambulance and an advanced life support unit (UVI mobile). At 6:30 a.m., the boy was admitted to the Emergency Unit of Can Misses Hospital.
A Heartbreaking Outcome
Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, the young man could not be saved, and the Health Area of Eivissa and Formentera’s press service confirmed his passing at 7:22 a.m. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
