Operation ‘Door-to-Door’ Drug Dealing
Two British individuals, aged 23 and 26, have been apprehended by Guardia Civil officers in Sant Antoni on charges of an alleged crime against public health. What makes this case stand out among the hundreds of similar incidents that occur on the island during the summer is the unique modus operandi employed by the alleged drug traffickers.
Direct Sales in a Local Hotel
As per Diario de Ibiza’s investigation, the two suspects conducted their drug dealings within the confines of a local hotel. However, their approach was anything but conventional. Instead of waiting for potential customers in common areas, they adopted a more direct approach, going door to door and room to room to peddle their illicit merchandise.
Busted by Hotel Security
The duo’s daring venture came to an abrupt end when hotel security personnel became suspicious of their activities and promptly alerted the Guardia Civil. The law enforcement agents swiftly arrested the accused on a Sunday night within the hotel premises.
Seized Contraband
At the time of the arrest, the authorities seized over 200 ecstasy pills and an undisclosed quantity of cocaine. While the amount of cocaine was not substantial, it added to the severity of the charges against the pair.
Recurring Visitors or Guests?
It remains unclear whether the arrested individuals had made regular visits to the hotel or were actually guests there. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of their activities and connections.
The duo is now awaiting trial and will have to face the consequences of their illicit drug dealings in the Spanish court system.
