The story unfolds in the charming French town of Laruns, where ecologists from Futuro Vegetal undertook a new act of sabotage at a gas station. The Civil Guard and the French National Gendarmerie detained these environmental activists, alleging their involvement in the gas station incident that took place in the early hours of September 8.

This is not the first time these activists have faced legal repercussions for their daring stunts. As members of the “Futuro Vegetal”, their repertoire includes an assault on a private jet at Ibiza airport. In a symbolic demand for a shift towards socially and ecologically responsible plant-based alternatives in livestock practices, the activists sprayed the private jet with paint during an audacious action in July. The daring duo managed to circumvent airport security, accessing the flight track to make their statement.
Their bold history also includes participation in road closures on the M-30 and M-40 roads in Madrid in December 2022 and April 2023, respectively. Additionally, one of them played a role in the activist intrusion into the Congress of Deputies on January 30, 2023.
